Murthwaite Green Trekking Centre is a friendly and professional family-run horse riding centre specialising in beach rides. We are based in Silecroft which is in the Lake District National Park. Our prime location allows us direct access onto Silecroft beach with its five miles of golden sands and shallow waters, ideal for horse riding!

We have been operating since 2002 and pride ourselves on our amazing beach riding experiences, which attract customers back time after time.

Come along and treat yourself to one of our rides. We have beach rides to suit all abilities and ages, from a gentle stroll along the sand to an exhilarating gallop through the surf. Browse through our options, or give us a ring for friendly advice.

We are also an approved Pony Club Centre and offer training in both stable management and riding to children from ages 4 years upwards.  Please see our Pony Club page for more information.

We cater for large groups and regularly work in partnership with both local and national schools, colleges and youth groups offering riding experiences for both children and adults.  We can offer an attractive discount for groups - please contact us for further information.
