5 Day Langdale Trail Ride

Due to the current restrictions we are currently not offering this package.  We hope to start offering this multi day ride in 2022.  Please contact us if you would like to be put on the waiting list for information.

This amazing 5 day ride takes you through some of the most stunning scenery in the UK.  Into the Duddon Valley, Coniston, Langdale, Tarn Hows and Ulpha it really is an amazing experience and what better way to enjoy it than from the saddle.

The price is fully inclusive and covers all riding, fully qualified guides, meals, luggage transfer and en suite accommodation at lovely B&B's & Inns.

Day 1:

Arrive at the yard around 12pm (bring your lunch with you).  At around 1.30pm we will ride out along the beach to Gutterby and around the base of Blackcombe.  This will give you the chance to ensure that you are comfortable on your horse before departure in the morning.  We will leave the horses in a field at Bootle before being transported back to the B&B.

 Meet in The Miners Arms, Silecroft for our evening meal.  Discussion and information on forthcoming ride.

Day 2:

8.30AM

Down to the stables ready for an early start.  We will transport you to Bootle to collect the horses.  We will ride up onto Ulpha Fell before climbing over Caw and into Duddon Valley.

Lunch today will be a picnic stop.  Sally will provide you with a picnic that you can put in your saddlebags. 

Tonight we will be staying in Seathwaite and our evening meal will be at The Newfield Inn.

Day 3:

8.30AM

Early start again, ready to groom and tack up the horses for a 9.30am start.

Today we will ride over the Walna Scar trail into Coniston enjoying fabulous views. Lunch stop will be at The Sun Inn in Coniston.  After lunch we will pick up bridleways which take us up the the fabulous view point at Tarn Hows, making an ice cream stop, before picking up tracks and bridleways into the picturesque Langdale Valley.  We will spend the night at the Elterwater Park Guest House near to Skelweth Bridge.

Day 4:

8.30AM

Today we ride from Skelweth Bridge over the fells and into Tilberthwaite & Hodge Close, enjoying fabulous views over to the Langdale Pikes.  We can stop and take in the amazing Cathedral Quarries.  Lunch will be at The Waterhead Hotel in Coniston.  After lunch we will head back over Walna Scar into Seathwaite, to spend the night next door to The Newfield Inn.

Day 5:

9AM

Today is the final day of the ride and we will pass over the Dunnerdale Fells into Ulpha (fantastic views).  We will have a picnic lunch today and make our way back along Silecroft Beach – a fab gallop to end the week.  We should arrive home at around 4pm.
