Enjoy the holiday of a lifetime at Murthwaite Green; where the mountains meet the sea|

  • Experience the thrill of riding along the beach

  • Take in the far-reaching views from one of our fell rides

  • We cater for novice to experienced riders

Most people dream of riding along a long sandy beach with the sound of the waves and the smell of salt in the air. At Murthwaite Green you really can make your dreams come true.

Silecroft beach is a fantastic beach for riders, at around 7 miles long with firm sand and shallow waters, ideal for a good gallop.

Our holidays consist of a choice of local Bed & Breakfast accommodation, 4 to 6 hours riding per day, and the opportunity for hands-on horse care if required.

Changes and/or Cancellations

Changes

We will make every effort to assist our riders wishing to alter their arrangements. Any change can only be made if vacancies are available at a suitable time, otherwise the change will become a cancellation. All changes should be confirmed in writing, signed by the same person who signed the original booking form.

Cancellation

Should you or any member of your party need to cancel your holiday once it has been confirmed, the organiser must immediately advise us in writing. Your notice of cancellation will only be effective when we receive it in writing. The following cancellation charges will be payable:

  • 60 days and more - loss of deposit

Responsibilities of Murthwaite Green

All the ride leaders at Murthwaite Green are fully qualified Ride Leaders, and hold current first aid certificates. You will take part in a short assessment lesson in order that we can allocate you the most suitable horse for your ride.

Our Rider's Responsibilities

You are responsible for filling out the booking form as accurately and as truthfully as possible

The rider understands that anyone riding understands that horses are unpredictable by nature. When frightened by real or perceived danger or when under stress, they can jump forward or sideways, run, buck, bite, kick or rear without warning. Risk of injury is inherent in this activity.

All riders will need to wear a riding hat to the correct standard (provided free of charge if required).

Complaints

Should the unlikely situation arise that you have a complaint about any aspect of our arrangements, the complaint should be reported immediately to us in order that we may be given the opportunity to correct the matter during your ride
